Hi Gav,
I've been following your piece on Boatmad, and saw your apprentice make this from scratch. R/C boating is not a new thing on Pontoontalk see:
http://www.pontoontalk.co.uk/forums/...native+boating

I keep looking at this hull you're knocking out and I think I'm going to have to have one. As I can't afford one of your 21ft Sequel sports boats then one of these in black would be great.
How do I get the money to you, and what about P&P, is this included?

Robbie,
Like you I have been following these on Boat mad,

they are large from memory.

would battery power work or should they be petrol driven?

May be Simon would not notice if i took some bits off his car?

Petrol unfortunately does restrict where they can be used.

ummm have to give it some thought if you guys are getting one. a days boating up the Arun would be fun

Hi Ian, primarily they are for petrol use, but theres no reason why battery powered shouldnt work, they just wouldnt be any where near as fast as a nitro or petrol engined one.

Ian,
You will not find a municipal lake that allows internal combusion engines. The only ones around are owned by clubs. :mooner:
My boat is destined to be a real offshore racer, as I intend to launcher from the back of my real boat, or a pontoon at LM. :bolt:
I have bought a 28cc strimmer engine from eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...7838&rd=1&rd=1
This is totally self contained including fuel tank and runs on two-stroke not expensive nitro fuel.
As I happen to keep a complete 2channal Futarba Attic radio control system with prop shalft fitted with race prop, ready for any new builds under the stairs. :drink:
I've booked Adrian in a couple of weeks time to work on Salamis so moneys a bit tight this month. :teatime:
