Forum changes

To avoid confusion, for those not totally at home with I.T. etc. this site is in two parts.

The pages you can only look at are all hosted at one place.

The forum which is hosted in a separate place.

One day soon not far from now, the ISP will probably pull the plug on our Forum space.

Apparently the License for the software that is used to power to forum is up for renewal.

All the other pages would stay and, if and when we move over to use the new forum I would change the forum button so that it took us to the new space.

I've been thinking that other than a little more effert required to post pics theres little reason why we couldnt relocate the forum section, to a free service.

I've provisionally set up some space for us here:->

http://pontoontalk.proboards106.com/

From what I can see the benefits are that its free, its free however big it grows. Its managed by them, they upgrade the features for free. We only ever have to do it once.

The downside. You have to host your own photo's in a site like Photobucket and then add a link to them in your Post.

Would be pleased for you to see it and bring back your comments.

Steve
