Re: Pipe dream number 1,001
Well thanks for your compliments guys.
The speed humps were OK going into chi but I left my mark on the way out. I checked underneath when I got back and it was only the very bottom of the front spring hangers that had scratched the humps. So its not that desperate. With the engines in the boat, the ride height may be just too low. So I may have to take the springs down to sperrys to have them reset. What they will make of them I dont know. Theres only one really thick leaf on each side. En-route everyone is extremely accomodating . People understand, I think, that I'm not about to push my payload it the hedges so they can get by. The trailer on trailer is a great ride for the boat in terms of springing. I hadnt considered that bit, just how much better it would be. I still have trailer work to do. The rustyyard trailer axles need remanufacturing, some tyres replacing. I would prefer to have a some pupose made fixed linkages holding trailer on for the future. I hope to be back out on the water for the summer and using the outfit to get down to Puerto Sotogrande and up to Wales for a weekend bash too. Then there' s the blade run bash ![]()

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001
Like Ground Hog Day, Ive gone and bought another one becasue the first one was OK just LHD was a pain in the arse. I tended to drive it in the gutter due to the trouble of gagin the centre of the road from the driving position in this. On leaf springs , in the gutter, that hurts.
![]() 1 Great fun to drive, you never fall asleep. 2 Inan invasion class vehicle, you dont get grief from other motorists. 3 Parking is never an issue you doors open over their bonnet and you dont pick up any dents at this height. 4 All the parts are no eith er still in surplus or being remade by the club. 5 The while wiring diagram fits on a sheet of A4 6 There isnt a Processor or ECU in it anywhere. 7 Its got the Nokken Winch ![]() The LPG development for th3 V8 going into this involves building an engine test bed which is the next thing I have to do for a thing at the back of the barn called the Donzi?

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001
No it's not for towing the boat I have the baby artic for that and agreed about deja vu but, Ive got so fed up driving mediocre characterless cars that I wanted something that was actually fun to drive. I've gone right off the concept of owning the ultimate in ergonomics and opulence aimed at providing the finest sustainable transit for the human life form.
That's it, rant on modern day motoring over.
