Re: Robbies Sessa Islamorada - Avalon

I moved my boat to Saxon Wharf yesterday with Matt. The sea was calm but there was a thick sea mist for the first part of the journey and made going through the Looe channel a little more interesting than normal.
As we headed down the East Solent the mist cleared and was quite sunny and warm.
Tied up at Saxon Wharf, quick wash down, covers on. Then set about getting back to LM by train with a taxi to the station but rail works ment we had to go part way by coach and we joked about how mainy forms of transport we could fit into one day, car, boat, taxi, train, coach, if we could have flown home from LM we would have had them all covered, but I drove the car back instead.
We had a really great day a true father son adventure (apparently).

Steve I sold the trailer to Mick at LM.

When we got back to Littlehampton Mariner the tide was very low.

Re: Robbies Sessa Islamorada - Avalon

About time for an update on what’s happening now with the Sessa, I have removed the bench seat ready to fit two pedestal seats manufactured for Vetus. These are Queen Seats which I have been keen on for a while now but when I saw them at the Vetus stand at the Southampton Boat Show I was impressed by their build quality with the ali used for the bolster being about a quarter inch thick and a very smooth action.
The bench seat is now out and back home here now and planning a trip down to fit the seats on Tuesday weather permitting. The bench seat is a very superior quality build and there is a gas bottle bucket inside too.
I am hoping to sell on the bench seat as a means of offsetting the overall cost of this project, but what do you guys recon Ebay or Boats&Outboards?

Re: Robbies Sessa Islamorada - Avalon

You're right Ian we must make a point of going down at the same time next season.

Anyone know someone who might want to buy a marine bench seat? very high quality build and hoping to sell on to offset cost of project.
