Cool blown off the cobwebs

Adrian finished the last of the total engine - remove replace/rebuild work on Salamis this week by fitting new gaskets on the carb. The old ones had given up and drawing air through the manifold choke.

As I had the day off I thought I'd give the old girl an early start to the season so launched at around midday as high tide was 15-45hrs and went up river to near Black Rabbitt.

I've had so many new bits fitted I thought it a little irresponsible to go and blast straight out to sea so river trip to begin with. Back to marina for a quick pee and took her out in the sea. Big swell and high waves starting to crest out there today, but stuck with it to near Bognor before comming back.

A great day sodding cold and the boat behaved brilliantly.

Re: blown off the cobwebs

Excellent Robbie, pleased to hear boat went well on first outing this year. I hope to do the same at the weekend weather permitting !
