Re: Steve's Boat

Steve is that design actually based on any particular bacteria?

But I actually quite like it.

Re: Steve's Boat

I dunno what it is meant to be Robbie.

The product is too heavy though, I think.

1.8Kg per Sq/m so i'm not sure just how I would hold it upside down, other than resining it up there.

Heres another interesting pattern, good for a laugh in the locker spaces. Although a bit pricey.

http://www.remlandcarpets.co.uk/flot...287-p4102.html

Its man made and pretty tough wearing.

Re: Steve's Boat

So yet more parts have arrived today two lengths of pretty blue Hose and a plethora of Speedflow hose fittings.
Up to the transfer feed pipe, the size has been increased to allow both engines to run off either pump feed.
The Exhaust Silencer tips Compressor, has gone down to JC's to have a new mounting bracket made so I can mount it up on the transom closer to the tips. I'll add a PCL connector so I can connect a coiled air line. It might clear a carb out, you never know.
The Fuel pumps are also having additional supports made and one is having the brackets reversed so both sets of pipes run the same way.
Pumps will still need powder coating after they come back.
New rub rail is on its way from Belgium.
Lee is penciled in for sorting out the Gel before installing the rail.
Now awaiting new fuel separators and fuel pressure line gauges from the U.S.
Still toying with roller cams and thrust buttons for + 18HP.
Just noticed, the pics of the exhaust tips in situ are almost a year old. Shows how much its all been delayed by!

Re: Steve's Boat

Started on the 'lecky Fuel pumps today, pics are bit crap. Double up on mounting brackets as the original s seems a bit feeble. Tee off is for transfer pipe, enable either engine to run from either pump. One pump has to be turned 180 and mounted on a bit of ply with a groove in it. This allows the breather stub which can be seen sticking out on the left hand pump, to protrude. Finding the ply routing the groove, cutting , sanding painting more time out. However the Pipework has now ground to a halt anyway now as waiting for Water separators to gain wings and fly across the pond. Bacteria head and coming pocket lining on order. Which needs to be kept quiet as the lounge carpet is older than two of me kids!

Re: Steve's Boat

The carpet arrived over a week ago but yesterday was the first time I could get to fit any of it.

Fitted some in the coamings, under the back seat and in the little pockets by the seats.

Anne & Mary were joking about spotting various Ecoli etc. in the pattern.

Re: Steve's Boat

Whilst wating for some special engine tools from the states I've still been beavering away.

Bought a chop saw the other day which enabled me to fettle away on some stainless pipework making custom inlet pipes which needed bends and little bits of pipe in between. When they're welded up I'll post the pics.

Second job is the re trimming of the cabin. The two pics are before and after. Still have some work to do but its going very well. I was amazeded at how the Headlining material just formed around that bell shaped roof. The partitions and shelves have just been placed back in to see how things will mate up.
