Re: House for sale

So whats the plan mate?

Buy big and move along to Southampton, or stay small and hang around LM.

Nice house by the way. I can see why its twice the price of my place - it's twice the size.

Re: House for sale

Lovely area - I went to school in Pangbourne and learnt to sail at Theale, long time ago now though!

By the way you wouldn't get much for that down here, probably a 2 bed fisherman's cottage if you're lucky - it's gone silly over the last few years!

Re: House for sale

I too went to school in Pangbourne many years ago, and learnt to row there.
The sailing Lake is still going strong and there is now a jet ski lake further up near junction 11 of the M4,

Used to come to Salcombe with my parents for many years and a lovely part of the country.

Not surprised about the property prices down there

And I learnt to cox there which was a great help later on in life - I was the first cox for the Salcombe gig club, and got a job (being a commercial skipper helped a bit as well) on Anna and the King in Malaysia as the Royal barge trainer - 3 months in Thailand and Malaysia - bloody good job!

Made up for having to run from the college to the river on a regular basis - it wasn't so bad running down the 300' high hill - it was running back up again!

YOu have a PM ....................

Re: House for sale

Reason for looking at Slough (Cippenham) is I am only 10 minutes to and from Heathrow airport, especially as coming late into London and leaving fairly early in the morning, easy access to M40, M25, and to Outback restaurant in Staines
