Re: 700xs

I understand that the aft end of this boat is not the sandard stern which will be more convensional. The heavily worked back end of this boat technicaly makes the hull shorter so the boat can race in a different class to one that has a full hull length. I must say I have followed Gav's thread on BM where he took this boat through all the plug manufacturing stages to making the final mould and pulling out this first boat. A very interesting boat building lesson in pictures.
A real beauty Gav and I hope it sells very well.

Re: 700xs

looks lovely boat Gav,

have you got any interior shoots yet?

Has the boat been built specifically for anything such as ski racing??
Or is it just a different design

Thanks guys for your good comments!

To answer a couple of questions, Ian, this particular boat pictured has had a modification to the rear end running surface, specifically for being eligible for ski racing this year.

I'll post more pics as and when we get a completed interior.
Boat will be testing over the next week or so i'll post links to video footage.....

well, no not really, i had some calcs done by the naval architect rated at different horsepowers but not sure how accurate they are going to be....... this evinrude 250 has a factory mod to bring it upto 300hp. if i were to guess i would say around the high 70's.

Re: 700xs

Gav do you have a date for its first race?

You must let us know how she does.
