Re: Christmas / December

I personally am quite busy leading up to Christmas however still hoping for a sustained period of dry weather as opposed to the sustained period of chucking it down we find ourselves in presently.

Re: Christmas / December

Things have changed this end all the plan's we had for christmas have now been put on hold. (will explain when we next meet up just don't want to say on here).

We should still be around over christmas so if your about Ian would be great to meet up.
Get some photo's off the boats

If the weather is good could have a run down to your waters,

Rob if your up for it you want to join us in the scarab could be a laugh.

Were things are all up in the air this end it would be short notice, so let us no if this sound good to you both and lets see what we can do.

Re: Christmas / December

weather on Saturday 2nd January is looking good and high tide at lunch time,

Looks like the LH trailer boaters are going to get a trip out, Will be the first boating in months.

Will be taking Scooby out on Saturday for a run if weather stays as forecast.

Re: Christmas / December

yes should be up for a trip out and about...... I might launch at Chichester and then come along the coast for a little run.... the reason for launching at chichester is a friend of mine has bought a Marshan 21 with a 200 Merc on the back and he is launching from thier and wants a bit of help / advice on his first trip out. so I think a quick run along the coast and in to the marina cafe for chips and a hot drink will be good. Ian do you want to pm me a mobile number so we can find were you lot are....

Re: Christmas / December

What time are you looking to be down at LM Ian?
Also have you checked out your battery as mine was down at bit after the cold snap, so brought it home for a top-up.

Re: Christmas / December

-1.5C right now getting colder through night, smiling weather man says frost until midday tomorrow, yet I'm strangely excited about a boat trip in the morning?
Are we dedicated, passionate or stark staring bonkers?

Re: Christmas / December

Sorry we couldn't make it over to you guys today 2/01/09 but the marshan I was running with stuffed badly in to a couple of big waves,

So had to head back in as soaking wet and below freezing temps not a good thing.
(I was warm and dry in the Scarab)

We had to break the ice in the marina before we could launch on average about 1" thick, overall still a great day.....

A couple of pic's from today
