cheaper to tax 18 tons that two?

I was hoping to get a red one to match the boat.

But it just seems crazy having a class 1 license and not bothering to use it.

Especially when the road tax could be less than the latest threats to four by fours.

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001

Last I heard Steve was 1800 road tax on 4X4's.

Environment issues? Or bureaucrats dictating lifestyles? Aldos Huxley's 'Brave new World', George Orwell's 1984, or order through anarchy. Good job they were just stories!!

It's not red but there is one on eBay.

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001

Paralysis by analysis, they say is the term for allowing the decision making process to become overunn by things to be taken into consideration.

What makes a trailer an HGV trailer?

Could you make an submersible Goods trailer.

Whaty about a launching trailer coming off a flatbed trailer?

Could you convert an existing one, use a donour one.

Is a semi trailer better than a draw bar trailer.

To have or not to have an operators license .

Where to keep it. How to insure it. Could you rent one instead?.

Going to collect part 1 of project 1002.

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001

Think what Robbie meant is that it is a "VOLVO" truck

So Steve would therefore become a Volvo driver

1,000 LITRES!

I can buy diesel wholesale in that quantity.

I was thinking I could go over the channel to fill it up but its just occured to me that I may as well drag the boat into belgium and fill the pair of them up.

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001

I thought I'd bring 'a thing' home today and pop it on the drive to see what it looked like.

I cant see what all the fuss is about. I have out far worse things on the drive and I havent finished trying out toys and hobbies yet.

If your lorry is not for commerical use, you dont need an operators license and you can park it at home.

Picture 1 you wouldnt even notice it.

Re: Pipe dream number 1,001

So how much sunlight makes it in to the front of your house these days?

Do the neighbours sit in excited expectation waiting to see what is going to turn up next?
