Steve's Boat

Thanks Ian. Some of the Deck furniture is back from being modified. Here's a picture of one of the cleats. With the fixings welded in it is possible to waste this point back and make it less prominent. The ends were radiused to make it easier to get a tightrope over. Once the sealant is under the cleat it should stay water tight. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362928718.765918.jpg

Those backing plates should provide a good load spreading . As you say once they are sealed in all should be good.

Now you see it

Removed fabrics for refurbishing, 'twas cold even with the big heater but, still a big benefit working on your boat whilst there's snow on the ground outside.

Re: Steve's Boat

Trailer stuff, whilst waiting for the machine shop to finish balancing the rotating assemblies I've been tidying up the trailer...some more. Another chance to play with the ye stick welder, as you do. Funny how half a dozen pictures viewed one after the other can make a whole days effort and a 40 mile round trip look like a job done in yer tea break...

Steve's Boat

Ive been having trouble getting a colour match for the off white in the Gel coat. If we couldn't do any gelcoat work this weekend then21 days would have elapsed by next weekend. Scott Bader had a colour match but it wouldn't arrive in time so I from there and back on Friday to pick up a 1KG custom mix sample tin based on a price of the boat I had sent them. On Saturday we found it was an acceptable match. So Ive ordered all we need and Now we can start skirting out a lot of the finer detail. Which until now was on hold.
