Re: Steve's Boat

It gets better.
He has a boat (past its best) given to him. I then pay for the wood and fibre glass to repair it, and now he wants to know if I would consider buying it off him !!! bloody nerve.

Re: Steve's Boat

So, because its so cold outside I decided to make some things and paint instead.

Nothing like avoiding what needs to be done and doing what I feel like doing instead to keep me happy, in the short term.

Followed by posting the results of said sick behaviour on a forum.

From left to right!

1 dodgy little trolley for moving stuff in me garage.

2 A pairof leg stands for transporting ther things home and working on them.

3 Another little trolley for moving legs around whilst trying to align them with the 'ole in boat.

Re: Steve's Boat

Ah yes another fine item procured for boating!

What a fine article I thought, but it wouldnt fit in my garage! so I've had it cut 'n shut.

Gonna use it to get the engines out of the 101 and then raise them up to work on.

Then down onto a trailer to go back to the boat.

Re: Steve's Boat

Steve , cold you must be joking. We down here do not know what cold means. Last weekend I was in Poland and on Sunday it was -20 degrees C now that is what I call cold.
I think Graham experienced the same weather conditions. Only hope it does not come here cos don't think many would cope

Re: Steve's Boat

I took me most of the day to get the engines from the donzi out of the 101 and onto their pallets.

Rolling them into the garage...minutes!

Re: Steve's Boat

Now they've got V8's on them. Have you found the pallet boards are moving faster?

********************

Mocking up engine assembly to find out what needs modding fo rthe new heads and bits.

I have plonked the heads on (literally) and now have to have knew mounting bracket made to relocate the Ignition packs to the rear of the inlet area as they were originally mounted above the rocker cover which is now a lot taller, and shiny too!
