29th May

Hi all,
Subject to weather I intend to go out on the RIB but cannot decide whether to go from Chichester or Littlehampton. There is more to see/visit from Chi but access to the sea is much quicker from L'ton. Anyone interested in joining me and if so where would you fancy? Or, if you are already going out can I join you?
I can be contacted to chat on 01903 242420
Many thanks
Les Crane

Re: 29th May

Hi all,
Sorry I've got May on my mind so much that it invades everything!! Yes, of course I mean April (put it down to an age problem).
Andre,
I'm up for Newhaven as tides are good for launch/recovery. How will we confirm on Friday? My phone number is above. All depends on weather, but provided not more than 4/5 my small RIB should be fine.

Re: 29th May

Andre/Graham - I am on for Sat, in fact can't make Sun or Mon so looking forward to it. I should be there by 9 although may be slightly later but I do not have to fuel up which I believe you usually do. I can be ready to launch within 20 mins of arrival and am ready to go straight off. Look forward to seeing you both.
I believe that, theoretically, we need a passage plan for this journey even though it is as simple as they come but, for insurance purposes, just in case of accident, I have done one which you can both use if you wish to do so. Just give me the names of your boats I will add them to the plan.

Re: 29th May

Andre,
What do you usually do about lunch - we are flexible.
Pub/cafe in Newhaven
Flask/sandwich on boat
Eat on return

Pictures from Solent / Cowes Trip

Had a great run to the Solent with Andre and Les.

Left Littlehampton at 10:30 arrived at Northern end of Southampton water (opposite Hythe marina) by about 12:00. Motored up to look at the new Cruise liner, then nosed into the Sportsboat and RIB show (by water).

Then off to Cowes for lunch, before returning to Littlehampton. Excellent trip, both boats ran perfectly, weather conditions fine - force 2-3 Northerly ish, excellent visibility.

First set of pictures :-

Re: 29th May

despite the calm seas and good forecast the majority of passengers must have been 'virgin cuisers' as they all appeared on deck sporting life jackets

Nice Boat !!

I caught Les and Andre secretly admiring the toobs on this bath tub belonging to the cruise ship !! (Note the special self righting, mechanism which looks strangely like a large fender to me)
