Re: RC Model hulls

It's made by Octura Steve, I've got the whole rig ready to go on the back. The prop is balanced and polished and the leading edge is as sharp as a knife. (Mined out for fingers!!)

Mate! are you sure youre not getting carried away there.

Really smart robbie, when I first saw the chain saw type motor I pictured something out of mad max.

To get the clearence he has knocked up a canopy. I am now thinking of doing similar but more like this but in black:

Re: RC Model hulls

Honestly very little progress on little boat. What with decorating and major changes at work. After years of working on Plessy and Erricsson switches I have moved on to a different data system and now having to learn how to work on a Northern Telecom switch which is totally different to anything I've done before. All these changes were so much easier 20 years ago, Old dogs and new tricks springs to mind.

Re: RC Model hulls

What I have done is play around with some canopy ideas. As spark plug and access is so restrictive it has been neccessary to make it more like a P1 style boat.

What are your thoughts? This is my favourate, as the top started life as a dolls bath-tub sold in Woolies for 6-95 then upended, cut down and sprayed black.

Re: RC Model hulls

My priorities??

Looking at a toy bath and seeing a canopy? or juggling 4 or 5 projects at the same time?

Life as normal on planet Robbie I'm afraid.

Re: RC Model hulls

Worrying n'it.

But they were kind enough to make it in a rather nice mauve colour so I could mask off the windscreen.
