Re: Ring 25 Sportscruiser

Phil - not sure what to say really.

In two months, the only progress is fitment of the engine... well sort of. No batteries, exhausts or drive in place yet

The boat is now back with the builder, for completion of the interior, which you would hopw would not take too long although.... based on current course and speed probably another 3-4 weeks.

Currents suggestions for boat names are now - maņana, 'Better late than never' or Late Arrival.

Re: Ring 25 Sportscruiser

Who's doing the install Graham? Have they done anything like this before only in two months I'd be expecting to have already had the sea trials and be driving it around by now.

They will be horendously expensive I suppose but Chris Lewis would do a fantastic job and in a fraction of the time.

Re: Ring 25 Sportscruiser

Robbie the installation is being done by Gordon Sutherland from Aquatec Performance Marine engineering. He suffers with the same afliction as the rest of the marine industry in the UK - they take on as much work as possible as the season is limited, and they don't have a hope in hell of getting any of it done when they say they will.

Chris Lewis has retired.

Boat should be finally ready in about 3 weeks time.

The engineer decided not to fit them! HE wanted all gauges together and to fit the gauage bezzels would have meant fitting them over two rows.... and the problem with that is ........

Silly you for thinking that you are the customer. The build seems to be taking forever, bet you are getting well p****d off by now or are you way passed that stage.

Re: Ring 25 Sportscruiser

Thats a real shame. Can't you take the price of the besels off his final bill, because it sounds like he forgot to fit them.
Then flog them on ebay.

Re: Ring 25 Sportscruiser

Yup definately passed the p****d off stage. Was actually really looking forward to the build, but not told weeks not 5 1/2 months

Having ordered various parts from the US, I cannot fault the service and speed of response, first class. The shipping service by DHL was faultless, with excellent online tracking facilities too.
Eddie Marine in the US offer a great range www.eddiemarine.com

CP Performance were also very helpful and shipped quickly www.cpperformance.com
